Hello,
My name is Leslie Haddock, and I have the pleasure of teaching English 3 at Nimitz High School this year. In 2007, I graduated with honors from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education (English Language Arts and Reading), and a minor in Exercise and Sports Science. I have always had a love of sports, and have played soccer since the 3rd grade. I stayed very busy in high school and college playing soccer, marching in the band, and riding horses for the Texas Tech Women’s Equestrian Team.
On July 24, 2010, I married my best friend, Justin. We have two dogs, Beau 7, and Jack 6. Justin and I share a love of college football (Wreck ‘Em Tech!), and enjoy riding motorcycles together.
2013 will begin my 7th year of teaching at NHS. During the past six years I have had the pleasure of teaching 9th and 11th grade English, and also serving as the assistant to both women's soccer cross country. I am truly passionate about teaching, whether in the classroom or in athletics. I love being a part of the Nimitz High School family, and I am looking forward to a great school year!
